Palliative and End of Life Care in Health & Social Care

Duration: 1 day; Cost: £60.00 (half day rate available for £30.00)

Explores the various aspects​ of end of life and palliative care for professionals working in a healthcare setting, such as care agencies, nursing homes and residential homes.

Opening the Spiritual Gate - Spirituality in Healthcare Training

Duration: 1 day; Cost: £30.00

Addresses the need for education in the assessment of spiritual need and spiritual care for healthcare professionals of all types working in a healthcare setting.

Supporting Children through loss, Grief and Bereavement

Duration: 3.5 hours (17.30pm - 9pm); Cost: £30.00

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to increase their knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding loss, grief and bereavement in children.

Sage & Thyme Communication Training - Foundation Level Workshop

Duration: Half day; Cost: Free; Next Dates: Various

A 3 hour workshop designed to give all health and social care staff the tools to carry out a level 1 assessment and support to distressed patients and relatives.

Enhanced Communication Skills Level 2

Duration: 2 days; Cost: Free (£100 to non NHS staff)

Next Dates: 7th & 8th November 2017

The focus of this 2 day course is the theory and skills required by practitioners to communicate effectively and sensitively with patients and families. Good communication skills delivered by confident and competent multi professional team members will reduce complaints, increase the number of patients who die in their preferred place of care, enhance dignity and respect whilst improving support to make informed choices.
