Donate in Memory
We recognise the special significance of fundraising or making a donation in memory of a loved one. There are lots of different ways you can support the hospice in celebration and remembrance of someone's life.
The Tree of Life
Our Tree of Life is a beautiful, handcrafted metal sculpture located in the hospice's main reception that allows personalised engraved leaves to be added to the branches to create a stunning and poignant lasting collection of memories and special messages. The tree represents the beauty of life, enduring strength and eternal peace.
Leaves can be dedicated in memory of a loved one, to express thanks, as a gift, to show support to the hospice or simply with your own name or personal message. Click here to find out more.
If you'd like to ask friends and family for donations to Bolton Hospice in lieu of flowers at a loved one’s funeral we have specially designed in memory collection envelopes that will also enable us to claim the gift aid on these donations. If you would like a supply of these envelopes, please call the fundraising office on 01204 663 065 or email us.
We understand that the loss of somebody close is a deeply personal experience. Tribute funds are a unique way to make a lasting tribute to a loved one and for many people, supporting a cause by concentrating your time and effort into keeping a memory alive can help with loss.
You can set up a tribute fund in the name of your loved one and, as it is personal to you, you have the choice of how and when it is added to. Your gifts, and those of your family and friends who can also be invited to contribute, will help us continue to care for people with life-limiting illnesses whilst at the same time act as lasting tribute to your loved one. As we're stepping into spring this year's Virtual Garden is blooming with your heartfelt dedications to those loved ones who are no longer with us, but are never forgotten. You can leave a lasting memory you have of a loved one, share stories, photos and dedicate a flower to them in our virtual garden here.
