Ultra Marathon Challenge for Bolton Hospice
Published to Other News on Jun 18, 2020
Hospice Hero Marc Clough has set himself the goal of completing monthly challenges to help raise money and awareness for a range of charities that are struggling due to the Coronavirus, and we are so proud to be one of his chosen charities!
So far Marc has completed a 5 mile swim, 12 hour turbo spin session and running, swimming & cycling the equivalent of climbing Everest (511 miles in 2890 mins). The latest challenge on Marc's list, this time to support Bolton Hospice, was Race the Comrades Legends Ultra Marathon where participants from all over the world came together in a virtual event. He completed the epic ultra marathon on June 14th. His next upcoming challenge for Bolton Hospice is a virtual Ironman challenge!
What makes these challenges even more remarkable is that Marc suffered from a brain haemorrhage in 2014 and fought hard through personal challenges to be where he is today.
