Life for a Life

Plant a tree to remember the life of someone special
At Bolton Hospice we very much support the idea of living memorials, but unfortunately we are usually unable to plant trees within our grounds because of space restrictions.
The Life for a Life Charity is working in partnership with ours and other hospices to provide the ideal solution.
Life for a Life is creating woodland glades with rural walks and suitably sited benches on United Utilities land which is completely accessible to the public.
Contributors plant a tree of their choice, and each tree carries a plaque commemorating the life of someone special. The Hospice then receives a donation for every tree planted.
The charity's Bolton project is at Marklands Reservoir, Foxholes Road, Horwich. This is a very tranquil setting to remember a loved one, and a place that will grow into a forest to help regenerate this area of natural beauty.
