Midnight Memories Walk 2018

Terms and Conditions

All walkers must register to take part in Bolton Hospice Midnight Memories Walk 2018 which is organised by, and for the benefit of, Bolton Hospice (registered charity no. 518704).

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who is a registered participant.

If necessary you should gain advice from your GP as to whether you are physically prepared to undertake the challenge.

Please ensure that any medical conditions have been disclosed to Bolton Hospice and are noted on the reverse of your number bib. This information will be shared with relevant event partners (e.g. St John Ambulance) for your safety.

The event may be photographed and videoed and these photographs and videos may be used for promotional purposes by Bolton Hospice. If you do not want to be included in filming/photography, please make yourself known to a member of staff at the event.

The names of all registered walkers will be published in The Bolton News prior to the event. If you do not want your name to be published please let us know by emailing fundraising@boltonhospice.org or call 01204 663 055

The Midnight Memories Walk is a fundraising event. We do not ask for a minimum sponsorship but hope that you will raise as much money as you can for Bolton Hospice.

Your registration fee covers all your expenses, it also secures your place and is not refundable under any circumstances.

You are not permitted to use any of the sponsorship money that you raise in relation to the Midnight Memories Walk to pay for your expenses. If you do not pass all of the money that you raise Bolton Hospice you may be committing a criminal offence.

If you are taking part in the event as part of a group, please be aware that information about sponsorship money paid or not paid to Bolton Hospice may be shared with other group members.

Disabled entrants are welcome to take part. Please contact the hospice prior to booking to establish whether the event is suitable for you.

On no account is alcohol to be brought into the event site or consumed during the event. Bolton Hospice reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol.


Participants must wear the Midnight Memories Walk T-shirt on the night of the event and come prepared for any weather eventuality.

Changes to the event

Bolton Hospice reserve the right to alter the start time of the event at any time.


Bolton Hospice reserve the right to cancel this event at any time. In the event of this happening, entry fees and sponsorship will be refunded in full.

Data protection

The personal information you have provided to Bolton Hospice will be processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and our privacy policy which is available to view at www.boltonhospice.org.uk or upon request. The main purpose for which we process your personal information is to register you to attend this event but for further information please see our privacy policy.

For your safety, where necessary and relevant, we will share some of the information you have provided with our event partners (e.g. St John Ambulance and Bolton Security Ltd) for your safety.


All participants taking part in the Midnight Memories Walk do so at their own risk. In no event shall Bolton Hospice be liable for any injuries, loss or damages whatsoever, including indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential losses connected with any aspect of this event.
