Carers Support

Carers SupportWho is a carer?

Carers come in many guises and can be wives, husbands, partners, daughters, sons, parents, grandparents, friends or neighbours. At some point in life any one of us can find ourselves in this role.

Why might carers need support?

Looking after a loved one who has a life-limiting illness can be tiring and distressing.  As a carer you may need help in adjusting to this new role.

We can offer help with:

  • Someone to talk to
  • Advice and support on caring for someone who is poorly
  • Advice on managing medication/nutrition/medical issues
  • Relaxation and management of stress
  • Advice on potential financial support – our social work team is available by appointment
