It's time to register for Midnight Memories Walk 2020!
2020 marks the 14th Bolton Midnight Memories Walk in the history of our hospice, and we want to make it the biggest, brightest and most memorable yet as we kick start the new decade!
EVERYBODY is welcome to join us, not just the ladies so come on men, children, families...we want you all out in force this summer!
Our goal is to raise £100,000 with the help of our amazing Midnight Walkers and as we are limiting the event to just 1000 participants, we are hoping that together we can achieve this and continue to care for the people of Bolton.
As we light up the night this June, let's walk together and make every step count in the town centre of Bolton, to make the 8 mile journey from Bolton Town Hall, along Chorley New Road directly past the hospice, almost to the Beehive roundabout and back again to celebrate and remember the lives of those loved ones who are no longer with us.
Once again, we are delighted to announce that our flagship event is sponsored by the wonderful Stateside Foods with support from Carrs Pasties!
By walking with us you are enabling us to continue to provide free expert care and support for local people with terminal and life-limiting illnesses. Bolton Hospice needs to raise 4 million each year and thanks to your fundraising we can keep helping families at the most difficult time of their lives.
There are so many reasons to join us on the night: walk in memory of a loved one, as a survivor, to keep fit, to celebrate a special occasion, as a team, with family and friends or simply to support Bolton Hospice.
LET’S WALK TOGETHER AND MAKE EVERY STEP COUNT.
Registration fee and what’s included£15 per person until 31st March
£20 per person from 1st April
You will receive a T-shirt, water, banana, Carrs pasty and hot drink and medal.
Who can take part?Anyone over the age of 16. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
We can't thank you enough for your support and sponsorship.
What’s the route? The walk begins on Victoria Square at 10pm. There will be entertainment and check in from 6.30pm. You will walk along Chorley New Road passing the hospice, right up to just before the Beehive roundabout and return to Victoria Square for your well deserved medal, pasty and cuppa. There is a pit stop at Meadowhill Nursery (just over half way) for some refreshments.
What are the sponsorship requirements? This year we have limited the number of entries
to 1000 walkers. We are asking every
participant to raise a suggested £100 which if
all our participants did so we would reach our £100,000 target.
An amount that would make a considerable different for our patients and families.
New 6 mile route! This year we have introduced an alternative 6 mile route for those of you looking for a shorter walk! This will be the same as our original 8 mile route but will cut off sooner - more details of the finish line for this route to follow! You don't need to notify us before, just let us know on the day of the event when you arrive to check in
