Take on a challenge

Step up to the challenge, achieve something amazing and raise money to help local people facing the challenge of living with a terminal or life-limiting illness.

Walking challenge

I started walking during lockdown to stop me going crazy as I couldn't work. I challenged myself to walk everyday, early morning or late at night. I love the great outdoors and would walk to the top of Rivington Pike every week. This got me thinking what else could I do if I put my mind to it; I decided to do the Three Peaks Challenge and it was suggested I should do it for charity.

My mum passed away in December 2020 and although she was never in the hospice she was always a supporter and donated money over the years, so it seemed fitting that I should help in her memory.  I had been eating healthy and training every day in preparation for the challenge for 6 months.  I'm definitely not going to stop my walking and maybe set myself another challenge for next year .
