Donate in memory

We recognise the special significance of making a donation in memory of a loved one. There are lots of different ways you can support the hospice in celebration and remembrance of someone's life.

Virtual GardenYour Virtual Garden

You can add a beautiful flower to the hospice's Virtual Garden and share a dedication to your loved one who is no longer with us, but never forgotten. Our Virtual Garden is a place that you can leave a lasting memory you have of a love one, share stories and special photos and dedicate a flower to the person you are remembering with love this Spring. Please visit the Virtual Garden to send your dedication.

The Tree of Life

Our Tree of Life is a beautiful, handcrafted metal sculpture located in the hospice's main reception that allows personalised engraved leaves to be added to the branches to create a stunning and poignant lasting collection of memories and special messages. The tree represents the beauty of life, enduring strength and eternal peace.

Leaves can be dedicated in memory of a loved one, to express thanks, as a gift, to show support to the hospice or simply with your own name or personal message. Click here to find out more.

Funeral Collections

If you'd like to ask friends and family for donations to Bolton Hospice in lieu of flowers at a loved one’s funeral we have specially designed in memory collection envelopes that will also enable us to claim the gift aid on these donations. If you would like a supply of these envelopes, please call the fundraising office on 01204 663 065 or email us.

Tribute Fund LogoTribute Funds

We understand that the loss of somebody close is a deeply personal experience. Tribute funds are a unique way to make a lasting tribute to a loved one and for many people, supporting a cause by concentrating your time and effort into keeping a memory alive can help with loss.

You can set up a tribute fund in the name of your loved one and, as it is personal to you, you have the choice of how and when it is added to. Your gifts, and those of your family and friends who can also be invited to contribute, will help us continue to care for people with life-limiting illnesses whilst at the same time act as lasting tribute to your loved one. Click here to find out more.

Why every donation makes a difference

We rely on your donations because government funding only covers a fraction of our costs. Without your generosity we could not continue to provide our care.

And every donation, of any size will have a real impact on the care we offer and the difference we make in people's lives.

A donation of £10 could pay for...

A regular donation of £8 a month could pay for...

vital oxygen for all our patients for 2 days

A regular donation of £11 a month could pay for...

a visit by our specialist Hospice at Home nurses

My daughter spent her last few months at Bolton Hospice and without their care for not just her but the rest of our family, I don't know how we would have coped. We owe the staff such a debt for ensuring her care was exceptional. Thank you all staff and volunteers for the care you give.
