For families and carers

Carers come in many guises and can be wives, husbands, partners, daughters, sons, parents, grandparents, friends or neighbours. At some point in life any one of us can find ourselves in this role.

Looking after a loved one who has a life-limiting illness can be tiring and distressing. As a carer you may need help in adjusting to this new role.

We can offer:

  • Someone to talk to
  • Advice and support on caring for someone
  • Advice on managing medication, nutrition and medical issues
  • Relaxation and management of stress
  • Advice on financial support – our social work team is available by appointment
