To supplement our permanent Portering team, our team of ‘bank staff’ provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls in staffing, covering vacancies and staff absences. In 2018, Bolton Hospice opened The Old Bank Café in Astley Bridge. It soon became a hub in the community, while at the same time raising much needed funds to allow the hospice to provide expert care for local people when they need it most. The Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service (MCISS) provides a comprehensive Cancer Information and Support Service to Bolton residents, so that anyone who is affected by cancer has access to the information they need and are supported appropriately. We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service Deputy Manager to join our successful MCISS team.
Our team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home.
