Bolton woman to run Manchester Half Marathon
On Sunday, local woman Beth Jenkins will be lacing up her running shoes to tackle the Manchester Half Marathon in a heartfelt tribute to her late sister, Abigail Clegg.
Natalie's Story
Anita, known for her bubbly and comical personality, loved her family, being at home, gardening and playing bingo. After falling ill on a trip to visit relatives in Australia, she was sadly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, and went on to be cared for at Bolton Hospice. Natalie, one of her four grown-up children, shares what the hospice and our Light Up a Life appeal means to them.

Hospice at Home
As well as specialist palliative inpatient care and flexible drop-in support sessions at the Wellbeing Hub, Bolton Hospice also provides a Hospice at Home Service.
Jonathan's Story!
Since being diagnosed with liver and lung cancer, and undergoing 31 courses of radiotherapy, Jonathan has struggled with the many side effects and symptoms of his illness and treatment.

Using natural and season materials to create beautiful decorations. This hands-on activity is not only a chance for patients to engage in a new skill but also an opportunity to connect with others in a supportive and relaxed environment.

Mother and Son Raise Funds in Memory of Loved One!
Danielle and her son, Elliot, recently participated in our Bubble Rush, raising vital funds in memory of Danielle’s mum, who received specialist care at our Wellbeing Hub before she died in December 2023.

A Bolton man, Ross Hayden, is taking on an incredible challenge this September, running 100km to raise vital funds for us as we are currently caring for his wife's mother, Carol. The family has already raised over £2,200, but is hoping to bring in more funds to support the our vital work.
