Beer Day Britain

Thursday 15 June 2017 marks Beer Day Britain!
Here at Bolton Hospice, we pride ourselves in offering personalised care individual to each and every patient’s wishes and health requirements, so if a patient wishes to have a glass of wine or a beer during their time here we are well equipped to offer a selection of beers, wines and spirits!
As well as the social aspect to enjoying a drink, alcohol can be used in other ways too; Anthony from our catering team told us; “Sherry acts as an appetizer, so if we have a patient who has very little appetite, sherry can help improve this.”
And did you know that the hospice has its very own beer?! Local company, Cheeky Beers, have brewed a unique ale for the hospice called Grey Squirrel with 25p from each sale being donated to the hospice – the suggested donation for a bottle is £3.00.
“An extremely well balanced golden ale that combines refreshing hoppy overtones with a rich malty base. A classic British ale and a truly satisfying pint.”
So please join us by raising a glass of Grey Squirrel and saying ‘Cheers to Beer’ on June 15th at 7pm and post a message and photo on social media with the hashtag #CheersToBeer and tag the hospice @BoltonHospice.
Happy Beer Day!
