Please Support Hospice Care Week
Published to Other News on Oct 08, 2018
This week is Hospice Care Week, an annual week of activity to raise the profile of hospice care across the UK. It’s a chance for us to tell you more about the role Bolton Hospice plays in supporting hundreds of people within our local community each year.
For example, did you know…
- We provide a wide range of services at the hospice and in the community
- We have a 24 hour advice line for healthcare professionals and carers
- We provide a wide range of education and training opportunities, and most are free to NHS staff
- Patients can take a virtual tour of the hospice on our website, to help ease their worries about visiting for the first time
We will have a virtual tour station at three of its charity shops this week where members of the public can take a virtual tour of the hospice using a Google VR headset. On Monday 8th you can take a virtual tour of the hospice between 10am-12pm at the town centre charity shop or the Furniture shop on Manchester Road between 2pm-4pm and between 10am-11am on Friday 12th at the Astley Bridge shop.
We are also encouraging our supporters to share their experiences of hospice care on social media using the hashtag #HeartMyHospice
We are so proud to be your local hospice. The theme of Hospice Care Week this year is ‘I Heart My Hospice’ and we’d love you to get involved in spreading our message far and wide. Follow @BoltonHospice to join us in raising awareness this week!
