Donna Knowles and Jill Reece are hospice supporters who are responsible for the amazingly popular fundraising event 10 Miles 10 Pubs and have an exciting announcement! “Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer - us two are no exception and so after the overwhelming success of our 10 miles 10 pubs walk which has raised over £40,000 for Bolton Hospice in the last 3 years, we have had an idea to trial an additional event in an attempt to raise even further much needed funds for the hospice.”
The Rivington Ramble will take place on Saturday 7th April from Horwich RMI cricket pavilion before heading to Rivington bottom barn. From here it’s an uphill hike to Rivington Pike then refreshments at Curley’s fisheries, The Jolly Crofters, The Ale House and back to Horwich RMI for an afternoon of family fun! All of the stops are contributing to our trial walk and we would love for you to do so too by raising sponsorship money.
The route is approximately 7 miles and will be signposted, and of course there will be lots of fun and surprises throughout the walk! So why wait until September to have a great day out when you can do it in the Easter holidays and bring all the family along?
Registration is just £10 per person and under 16s go free. With a suggested donation of £10 per person to take part and under 16s free - please visit the event page to register today!
T-shirts will also be on sale 2 weeks before the event. If you have any questions or queries, please email the event organisers Donna & Jill on firstname.lastname@example.org.
