Words cannot express the wonderful care, compassion and support we, as a family received. I lost my mother and best friend but it was with love, dignity and respect. A very special time and one which all staff made the memories we have, those of my mother getting excellent pain relief and being at peace. A very special place, filled with love, laughter and compassion.

We know that for some people the word 'hospice' can be frightening and uncertain so we hope this tour will take away some of that fear and uncertainty and show you that our hospice is a warm, friendly and inviting place – a home from home!

The Old Bank Café’s Chris to take to the skies

AFTER Chris Lowe’s wife died last year from cancer at the hospice he thought a lot about how to give something back. Fate soon found him, though, and now he is the café manager at the hospice’s popular Old Bank Café – and about to take part in a sponsored skydive to help raise even more vital funds.

Celebrating May & Ray's Anniversary

May and Ray have celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary this week surrounded by family, friends and even beloved fury friends. The couple met when they were young teenagers sharing the newspaper round. They got engaged at 18 and married soon after starting their life together. Now 65 years later they are celebrating their Blue Sapphire Anniversary.
