Retail Gift Aid Terms and Conditions

By signing up to Gift Aid you are confirming that:

  • You are a UK taxpayer and wish Bolton Hospice to reclaim the tax on all donations I have made in the last 4 years and any future donations I make. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in the appropriate tax year, it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

  • You wish Bolton Hospice Support Ltd to act as my agent in selling the goods I’ve donated and agree to Bolton Hospice Support Ltd deducting a commission of 2.5% plus VAT from the total sale price of my items for this service.

  • You understand that I will only be contacted when the net sales value of goods is greater than £1000 in any tax year.

  • You are not acting as a business in selling my goods.

  • You have read and accept these full terms and conditions.

Gift Aid Information:

Using Gift Aid means that for every £1 your items raise, we can currently claim an extra 25p from HM Revenue and Customs, helping your donation go further.

It’s your responsibility to notify Bolton Hospice Support Ltd if you no longer pay sufficient Income tax and/or Capital Gains tax for Gift Aid to be claimed.

You must let us know of any changes to your name or address. This is so HMRC can match your tax record with our Gift Aid claim.

This agreement can be terminated by either party. You may terminate this agreement at any time by contacting us in writing or by asking out shop team to complete the cancellation form.

By signing up to Gift Aid you agree to donate net sales proceeds up to £1000 and to Bolton Hospice Support Ltd claiming Gift Aid on net sales proceeds.
