We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service Deputy Manager to join our successful MCISS team.

£17,695-£21,309 per annum
(WTE £35,390 - £42,618)

Part Time 18.75 hrs per week
(3 days one week, 2 the next, alternate Wednesdays and every Thursday Friday, will need to be flexible to cover holidays & sickness on Mondays)

The Role

We are looking to appoint a highly driven and motivated Deputy Manager to support the smooth & safe running of the award-winning Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service (MCISS). This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist person-centred Service. The role is based across 3 sites in Bolton, Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton One and Giles House at Bolton Hospice, working within our Macmillan Information and Support Centres.

What you need:

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who has experience of the direct delivery and management of service user facing services and experience of managing staff and volunteers. You must have knowledge of cancer care, treatments, and services locally and Greater Manchester wide, have a good understanding of the importance of service user involvement. You will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent and experience of working in cancer care. You will also need highly developed interpersonal skills to create effective working relationships, liaising with oncology teams within the Hospital and local services withing the community.
