To supplement our permanent housekeeping team, our team of ‘bank staff’ provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls in staffing, covering vacancies and staff absences. We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive bank Housekeeper to provide operational cover within the hospice as part of our Facilities team, as and when required.
£9.00 per hour
Ad hoc, flexible working hours
Working across all areas within the hospice, the role will support the effective running of our Housekeeping team during periods of staff leave, absences and during busy periods. The post holder performs all cleaning and domestic duties in the hospice as required, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout. This will include specialised cleaning in appropriate areas, such as treatment rooms and pharmacy, and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
What you need:
We are looking for an experienced housekeeper with high personal standards and a commitment to the vision and values of Bolton Hospice. You must be able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communication skills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Experience of working in a clinical environment and an NVQ Level 1 qualification (cleaning related) would be an advantage.
