Clinical Practice Educator
Bolton Hospice and Wigan and Leigh Hospice have collaborated to develop a new and exciting role of a Clinical Practice Educator, working across both Hospice sites. This is a dual funded, permanent position, offering a great opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to support the education and development of clinical staff across both Hospice sites.
Salary £31,365 - £37,890 Full Time 37.5 hours per week
(5 days per week - alternating 2 and 3 days per week at each site)
The Clinical Practice Educator will be a vital member of the Education Team, supporting both Bolton Hospice and Wigan & Leigh Hospice by developing, planning, delivering and evaluating the professional development of clinical staff on both sites. Your role will play a critical role in continuously improving and developing hospice clinical services through innovation, education, collaboration and effective use of resources.
The post holder will work in collaboration with both hospice teams to develop mandatory training, clinical skill competencies and service training, to ensure practice-based learning enhances expertise, effectiveness and end of life care provisions within both hospices. Working hours will be split between the two sites as appropriate.
What you need:
We are looking for an appropriately qualified Registered Nurse, with proven experience of planning, delivering and evaluating education and training. Leadership, Management and Enhanced Communications Skills qualifications would all be desirable, along with project management training or experience.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of research, with an up to date knowledge of Palliative Care, as well as having a passion and commitment to the values of both hospices. You must be highly organised and have excellent communication and relationship building skills. It is essential that the post holder is able to travel independently, to be able to attend both sites as and when required.
