Education Administrator


Temporary Six Month Contract

We are looking for an efficient and effective administrator with excellent organisational and people skills to support the work of our education team.

Bolton Hospice provides free, expert care to local people facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses, and their families, in the hospice itself and in patients’ own homes. The education team support this by providing a range of palliative care educational sessions. Our education team support the educational needs of the internal staff alongside providing education sessions to the population of Bolton. If you’re an experienced administrator, love working with people, and want to put your skills and experience to good use at a much-loved local charity - we’d love to hear from you.

 

Salary £23,875 pa, pro rata

12-16 hours a week (to suit candidate’s preference), worked over 4 days

 

The Role:

As an Education Administrator, you will provide efficient and effective administration support in relation to our education team. You’ll be responsible for providing a full administrative service to support the education department in all training delivery. You will be required to support the Education and Development Lead in co-ordinating the updating, issuing and monitoring of staff mandatory training and providing mandatory training reports to the SLT and departmental managers. The role also involves supporting the education team with internal and external communications and ensuring that the education teams’ contribution to the charity is efficient and well-led, ultimately helping to make Bolton Hospice a great place to work.

What you need:

First and foremost, you’ll need to show us that you have a strong commitment to Bolton Hospice’s vision and values and are passionate about the amazing contribution that volunteers make to our organisation. You’ll need to have previous experience in administration, including using MS office packages / databases, and be highly organised with time management and prioritization skills. The successful candidate will be someone who loves working with a diverse range of people, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to build effective working relationships. You’ll also need to approachable, sensitive and discreet in your interactions with staff members and education candidates, with a flexible approach to your work.
