Band 2 Admin Support Worker to the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service Manager (as part of the Access to work Grant)
Would you like to be part of a lovely team and provide admin support to the Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service Manager? If you are enthusiastic, reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment then you could be just what I am looking for.
Our team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home. We not only take care of patients' physical needs, but we also consider their emotional, spiritual, and social needs too; and we support families and close friends, both during illness and in bereavement. To supplement our permanent housekeeping team, our team of ‘bank staff’ provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls in staffing, covering vacancies and staff absences. We are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive bank Housekeeper to provide operational cover within the hospice, as and when required, as part of our Facilities team.
For over 30 years Bolton Hospice has been offering free expert care and support to local people facing terminal or life-limiting illness and their families both within the Hospice and at home. Our organisation is loved and respected across Bolton and beyond but wouldn’t exist without the hard work and commitment of our staff and volunteers and the support of the local community.

The Old Bank Café is situated next door to our thriving Astley Bridge retail store. It is a busy community hub, serving local customers whilst raising vital funds to support the running of the hospice, to allow us to provide expert care for local people when they need it most. Whether you want a cooked breakfast, a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, our café is the place to be. We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and passionate individual to assist the management and the smooth running of our café.
