Spiritual Care Advisor
We are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide effective spiritual and emotional support to all patients who have hospice care as well as offering support to their families, friends and staff.
£23,209 - £27,948 per annum
(WTE £38,682 - £46,580)
Part Time 22.5 hrs per week
(3 days a week 8am – 4pm, Wed – Fri)
The Role
The post holder will undertake a varied role within the hospice organizing and delivering appropriate spiritual and emotional care for patients, families, carers and staff. The successful candidate will work daytime hours as above. However, flexibility may be required so that the Hospice has sufficient cover during the week. This will be done working alongside the Spiritual Care, Bereavement Support and Counselling Lead. The role will include responding to referrals from the inpatient unit, wellbeing hub and outpatients for those who require support. This role requires working alongside other staff in the clinical team and regular visits to all clinical areas. This role may include offering religious care when needed or being able to access the appropriate religious care when asked.
What you need:
We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge of spiritual care. An understanding of spiritual needs is required. You must be able to work well in a team and have good interpersonal and communication skills, along with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach. You will need to have good IT skills to access and input appropriate documentation required for the role. Flexibility and a commitment to the vision and values of Bolton Hospice are essential.
