Calling all sweet treat enthusiasts!  Could you hold a bake sale and help raise vital funds for Bolton Hospice?

Taking part is simple!

Whether you're a complete beginner, a total professional or anywhere in between, you can help Bake a Difference for Bolton Hospice.  Each baker will receive a fundraising pack filled with recipes, decorations, bake labels and games. Just choose a date that works for you, register, and get baking!

1. Choose a date and register - Bake a Difference runs all year round, but there are certain dates/events throughout the year that might work well, such as: World Baking Day, Halloween, Christmas or Easter.  You can register here.  
2. Select a venue – ask your local village halls, function rooms, or even deck out your own back garden! 
3. Start planning - Decide what you'll bake, how much you'll charge and what your ideal bake sale looks like
4. Publicise your event – it’s a good idea to share your event online and in person.  You could create a Facebook event to invite all your friends, or you could distribute posters (included in your pack).  However you do it, make sure you spread the word!
5. Extras - Think about what other things you can do on the night to raise a little more money. Raffles are always a popular option but there are lots of ways you help boost your fundraising efforts like a tombola, selling handmade crafts, holding an auction or charging to play games or attempt the competitions included in your fundraising pack. 
6. Ready, Steady, Bake! - Dust off your oven gloves and get baking!  You can always practice making your goodies before the big day and don't forget to taste test along the way!
7. Show us your skills - don't forget to take lots of photos!  We want to see you and your bakes from in the kitchen to being enjoyed at your event.  You can tag us @boltonhospice or send them to our Community Fundraiser, Darren
