Meet Lyndon

Lyndon joined the Bolton Hospice team as a Nursing Associate after fondly remembering his two week placement at another hospice during his training.  He says:

I trained in mental health and went on to work on a mental health ward of a hospital, but I found it was difficult to really get to know patients as they came and went so quickly. At the same, I was remembering my training placement at a hospice, which I loved so much. A palliative care role was always in the back of my mind.

My favourite part of the role is having the time to really get to know and spend time with patients and their loved ones. It means our care and support can be so personalised for every family. A big part of my job is making patients feel as comfortable and at home as possible, and the emotional support I can offer to the whole family.

It really is a privilege to be part of the team.

Lyndon heart

I am and will always be eternally grateful for the care and compassion the hospice gave my dad in the last week of his life. They made him human, I can never repay that.
