Local business and loyal Bolton Hospice supporters Stateside Foods have generously donated £5,000 to the hospice after working with Russell & Russell Solicitors in support of our annual ‘Make a Will’ month.

Each November the hospice offers a reduced rate Will writing service in partnership with local solicitors, with a suggested donation to the Bolton Hospice. Russell & Russell had planned to offer their services to the staff at Stateside Foods, however due to the pandemic and local restrictions in place, meeting face to face was not possible. Russell & Russell and Stateside Foods instead turned to Zoom in 2021, with solicitors from the local practice offering advice to Stateside staff virtually throughout January.

As a thank you for the fantastic service provided by Russell & Russell and to show their support, Stateside Foods kindly donated £5,000 to Bolton Hospice during these challenging times, with their generous donation enabling us to continue providing vital care to local people and their families.

"We are sadly aware of the increased struggles that charities like Bolton Hospice are facing at the moment. With fundraising events being cancelled or forced to move to virtual alternatives, it is even more important that we support these amazing charities where we can. Bolton Hospice provide such an invaluable service to local families when they need it the most, and as a local business we will continue to support them in any way that we can, to make sure that they can continue to do what they do, in our community. We are already planning to sponsor this year’s Memories walk again, however that may take place. We would encourage other businesses to support their own local charities, wherever possible, particularly through these difficult times.”
