Local Family Raises Over £6,000 for Bolton Hospice in Memory of Their Daughter
A huge well done and thank you to the family and friends of Mia, who was cared for at Bolton Hospice earlier this year, for raising an absolutely incredible £6,148 in her memory.
Mia was cared for at the hospice earlier this year, and to honour her memory and what would have been her 19th birthday, her loved ones embarked on the challenging Ullswater Way, conquering its hilly terrain to complete their “19 Miles for Mia” trek.
Remembering Mia and the compassionate care she and her entire family received at Bolton Hospice, Mia’s dad shared his heartfelt reflections: "Mia was a bright and happy girl, and the care she received at the hospice was wonderful. The hospice cared for everybody, not just the patient. It was nice bringing our cats to see Mia, and enjoying a get-together with family in their big family lounge."
The family added, "We are proud to be raising money for Bolton Hospice who looked after Mia at the end of her life. A place filled with love, care, compassion and wonderful staff. They made such an awful time a lot brighter."

Everyone at Bolton Hospice extends a huge thank you to Mia's family and friends for their inspiring dedication and generosity. Their incredible contribution will directly help the hospice continue to be there for even more local families, providing compassionate care and support to those who need it most.
