Bolton Hospice invites supporters to conquer Great Wall of China for charity
Following on from the success of last year’s Sahara Trek, Bolton Hospice is calling on local adventurers and travel enthusiasts to kick off the new year by signing up for the challenge of a lifetime: a fundraising trek across the iconic Great Wall of China.
The hospice is hosting a dedicated Information Evening on Tuesday, 20th January, at 6.30pm, for anyone interested in discovering more about the trek before committing to the journey. The event offers a chance to meet the trek leader, understand the physical requirements, and learn about the support available to help participants reach their fundraising goals.
The trek promises a blend of hikes, panoramic views, and cultural experiences.
From navigating the ancient, winding paths of the wall to experiencing the vibrant traditions of rural China, the expedition is designed for those looking to push their boundaries while supporting a vital local cause.
"We know many people in Bolton start the new year looking for a way to challenge themselves or tick a major item off their bucket list. This trek is the perfect opportunity to do just that while making a direct, tangible difference to the lives of people in our community when they need it most." - Angela Griffiths, Fundraising Manager at Bolton Hospice
Every penny raised through the Great Wall of China trek will go directly toward the compassionate care and support provided by Bolton Hospice. As an independent charity, the hospice must raise over £5 million per year to continue its vital services.
Those interested in joining the trek are encouraged to attend the Information Evening to decide whether the challenge is right for them.
