Mother and Son Raise Funds in Memory of Loved One!

Danielle and her son, Elliot, recently participated in our Bubble Rush, raising vital funds in memory of Danielle’s mum, who received specialist care at our Wellbeing Hub before she died in December 2023.

The Wellbeing Hub provided Danielle’s mum with creative and complementary therapies, along with support from specialist nurses and volunteers.

Danielle shared, "All the staff and volunteers were amazing with my mum; they saved us in our time of need. The Wellbeing Hub became her second home, she loved going. There she was relaxed and happy, and we were able to make more memories with her and enjoy spending time with each other thanks to everyone at the hub. There’s a calm and kind air in the place."

The Wellbeing Hub aims to provide advice, support and specialist management for local people living with life-limiting illness, and your carers. The focus is on promoting your wellbeing and rehabilitation to enable you to live well with life-limiting illness.

Motivated by her family's experience and a newfound awareness of our funding needs, Danielle decided to begin fundraising for us!

Bubble Rush provided her and her son the opportunity to combine fun with fundraising, taking on a 5k course filled with vibrant coloured bubble stations, as well as live music, inflatables, and food and drink.

Bubble Rush will return in 2026, but in the meantime you can find out more about upcoming fundraising events at https://www.boltonhospice.org.uk/events
