Severfield Raises Staggering £7,300 in a Single Year
Bolton Hospice is delighted to announce that its long-term supporter, Severfield, the UK’s market-leading structural steel company, has raised an incredible £7,300 this year alone. This fantastic fundraising effort, driven by the company's dedicated Lostock Charity Committee, contributes to a staggering cumulative total of £57,000 raised by Severfield over the years.
The £7,300 was generated through a series of engaging, employee-led fundraising activities, including popular bake sales, raffles, and football cards.
The funds raised are vital and will directly support our essential services, helping them to continue caring for local people facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
A spokesperson for the Severfield Lostock Charity Committee said, “We’re thrilled with what our Lostock Charity Committee has achieved this year. Raising £7,300 for Bolton Hospice through a series of fundraising events speaks volumes about the passion and generosity of our colleagues at Severfield. This donation will help fund essential services... all of which make a meaningful difference to patients and families across our community. It’s a cause close to many of us at Severfield, and we’re already working on new ideas to continue our support in 2026.”

Kathryn Willet, Supporter Relationships Manager at Bolton Hospice, added, “We are extremely grateful for the sustained and significant support from the entire Severfield team. To have raised £57,000 over a number of years is a testament to their unwavering commitment to the families we support. The £7,300 raised this year alone ensures we can continue to offer vital, compassionate care when families need it most. Thank you, Severfield.”
We rely heavily on corporate and community support to continue delivering its specialist palliative and end-of-life care services.
