10 Miles 10 Pubs smashes records, raising £54,000 for Bolton Hospice
The annual 10 Miles 10 Pubs Charity Walk, organised by dedicated supporters Jill Reece and Donna Jeeves, has achieved a record-breaking fundraising total of £54,000, making a huge difference to local families facing life-limiting illnesses.
The community event saw participants gather for the popular walk, which brings together local residents of all ages for a day of fun and fundraising. The incredible sum raised by this year’s event surpasses all previous records.
The £54,000 total will provide vital funds for Bolton Hospice, directly helping care for local families facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses. This amount could fund 425 Hospice at Home visits, 100 days of compassionate nursing care, or cover our entire food bill for 16 months.
"We are absolutely thrilled and genuinely overwhelmed by the phenomenal success of this year’s 10 Miles 10 Pubs event. This money isn't just a number; it represents hundreds of hours of essential care and support delivered to patients and their families in our community. Their dedication truly means the world to us."
The charity walk has become a cornerstone of the local fundraising calendar, growing in popularity and impact year on year thanks to Jill & Donna's tireless efforts.
Everybody at Bolton Hospice would like to say the hugest of thank yous to the dedicated duo and everyone who participated, volunteered, or donated - 10 Miles wouldn't be the same without you!
