Bank Shop Supervisor
Every purchase, donation and volunteer hour in our shops helps make a difference. Our retail stores are a vital source of income for Bolton Hospice, generating the funds needed to provide expert care and support for local people and their families when they need it most.
To support our permanent retail team during busy periods, holidays and unexpected absences, we are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and customer-focused individuals to join our team of Bank Shop Supervisors. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in our retail operation while helping to support an important local cause.
£13.35 per hour
(Ad hoc, flexible working hours)
The role:
As a Bank Shop Supervisor, you'll work alongside our dedicated staff and volunteers to create an outstanding shopping experience for customers while maximising income for Bolton Hospice. You'll help ensure our shops are welcoming, well-stocked, well-presented and operating to the highest standards. Confident and proactive, you'll be comfortable stepping in to oversee the day-to-day running of a shop when required, supporting volunteers, maintaining excellent customer service and helping the team achieve its goals. You will also have the opportunity to support events and provide cover across our network of shops, making every day varied and rewarding. To succeed in this role, you'll need to be able to travel easily between our shops across the Bolton area.
What you need:
We're looking for people who thrive in a customer-facing environment and enjoy working with a wide range of people. You'll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive and flexible approach, and the confidence to step into different situations, sometimes at short notice. Experience within a retail or hospitality environment is essential, along with a proven ability to deliver excellent customer service. Previous supervisory experience and experience of working with volunteers would be advantageous. Most importantly, you'll be a team player with the ability to motivate and support others, take initiative and share our commitment to delivering exceptional service while raising vital funds for Bolton Hospice.
