Cafe Assistant
In 2018, Bolton Hospice opened The Old Bank Café in Astley Bridge. It soon became a hub in the community, while at the same time raising much needed funds to allow the hospice to provide expert care for local people when they need it most. We are now looking for an enthusiatic, friendly and passionate individual to support the smooth running of our café.
Salary £13,255 per annum (WTE £24,853)
20 hours per week over 4 days (10am – 3pm)
The Role:
Reporting to the Café Manager and working closely with a team of volunteers and other paid members of staff you will support the smooth running of the café to maximise profit for Bolton Hospice. This will include assisting in the preparation of food and drink, serving customers and maintaining cleanliness standards in the Café.
What you need:
This is a hands-on role involving preparing food and drink and serving customers. You’ll need to have experience in a similar environment and a level 2 food hygiene and safety certificate (although we will provide the training for this qualification if you don’t have it already), plus a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and thrive in a busy environment.
