Housekeeper


Here at Bolton Hospice, our team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families. We not only take care of patients' physical needs, we consider their emotional, spiritual and social needs too; and we also support families and close friends, both during illness and in bereavement. So that we can continue to provide the best experience for our patients, relatives and visitors, we are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and pro-active Housekeeper to join our friendly housekeeping team.

Salary £13,925 per annum (WTE £27,851)

Part Time - 20 hours per week

Monday – Friday 6am - 10am

The Role:

The post holder is expected to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hospice. The key responsibilities will include cleaning to pre-set standards and some stock control duties. There would be an expectation that you would work extra shifts to cover for annual leave and other absences.

What you need:

We are looking for an experienced housekeeper with high personal standards. You must be able to work well in a team and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with an empathetic approach. It would be advantageous to have previously worked in a health care setting and to have some knowledge of infection control procedures.
