Our Bolton Hospice Retail Team is always looking for new faces to bring different skills and qualities into their team; no matter your circumstances and background there is a volunteer role to suit you.

Here we're shining a spotlight on some of the supporters who have recently taken on a challenge as proud members of Team Bolton Hospice.

The Old Bank Café in Astley Bridge re-opened on Monday 12th July and we were thrilled to welcome our customers and staff back!

To celebrate our 30th anniversary next year, we are looking for 30 stories from the heart about our hospice from 1992-2022 from patients, families, staff and volunteers. Telling your story helps us raise awareness of what the hospice does.

On Sunday 4th July these incredible Bolton Hospice supporters will be taking on this year’s Ironman UK here in our hometown to help raise vital funds for the hospice.

Thanks to recent funding from national charity Cash for Kids, our Education team have been able to put together memory boxes to help support bereaved children and teenagers.

Starts with You (SWY) is a Bolton business that believes in doing business in a fairer, kinder way - delivering advice and a range of commercial environmental and building services, which help local people overcome challenges and create good quality, local jobs.

Generous staff and students at the University of Bolton have raised £1,700 for Bolton Hospice by donating money collected from £1 meals sold to students during the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions over the winter months.

Donations from the local Muslim community, at the end of fasting in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, have amounted to an incredible £8,873 (and counting!) for Bolton Hospice.

A big thank you to the Bolton Wanderers Remembrance Group who recently donated an incredible £1,500 to Bolton Hospice! 

A framed limited edition print of a painting inspired by a live Status Quo gig, and signed by frontman Francis Rossi, is going up for auction in memory of local fan Steve Bradshaw.

Bereavement Support volunteer Sue McKellen and volunteer Florist Vida Sharples both celebrate 20 years at Bolton Hospice this Volunteers' Week and kindly shared their stories with us.
