Cheers to 30 hospice years

Celebrate 30 years of hospice care in the community!

The 3rd March 2022 marks a very special occasion as we celebrate our 30th birthday and 30 years of hospice care in our community.  Will you celebrate our 30th Anniversary with us and help us to be there for more patients and families that need us by joining our ‘Cheers to 30 years’ campaign?

During the month of March please celebrate with us; you could throw your own party, afternoon tea, dress down day at work/school or organise a special cake sale or collection at your place of work.

The creation of the hospice was only made possible thanks to our wonderfully supportive local community who began to raise the funds necessary to build the hospice through the help of a campaign ran by The Bolton News -  By 1990, £850,000 had been raised and the building work had commenced!  Since then, the continued support from our community has enabled us to grow and expand our services, allowing us to care for more and more people with life limiting illnesses and their families.  We think that’s something to really celebrate and we would love you to celebrate with us too!

Thank you to our amazing community for helping us to provide vital, end of life care for a generation.

“The very first patients were admitted to the hospice on 2nd March 1992, and we have been dedicated to caring for thousands of local families ever since.  It's an honour and a privilege to care for our community, and we are proud to be such an integral part of our town.  I’m sure you will join me in wishing our hospice a very special 30 year anniversary!”
