Saturday 2nd April saw our 2022 'Strictly Learn to Dance' contestants step on to the dance floor at our Grand Finale at the Bolton Whites Hotel!

Bolton Hospice are delighted to welcome our latest Platinum Patrons on board, in the form of Bolton based IT and business services provider, Eventura and Bolton Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group.

Fifteen dancing duos from across the local area have been working hard to improve their dance skills since January, and are now getting set to step into the spotlight and show off their moves at this year’s Bolton Hospice Strictly Learn to Dance Grand Finale!

Rosie has experienced the care we provide here at the hospice, through both our Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing Hub. She has made a very special video describing her experience of Bolton Hospice.

A dad of two is set to take on an epic challenge as he prepares to run 100 miles over four days, visiting ten local hospices, including Bolton Hospice, on his route to raise awareness and valuable funds for the specialist care they provide.

During the current outbreak of Covid-19 we have had to restrict access to the hospice building for family members and friends of patients on the Inpatient Unit to ensure that our patients, staff and volunteers working within the Hospice are safe. We review our visiting restrictions on a regular basis and adjust them, depending on the national and/or local infection rates and guidance.

Bolton Hospice patient Rosie Adamson-Clark has written an article, which has been published by the international palliative care website eHospice, about her experience of hospice care.

A 75 year old local man wants to help raise the profile of the services offered by Bolton Hospice, after a short stay there helped him to get his medication and pain better managed and stabilised his symptoms.
