Report finds government funding model for hospices is 'not fit for purpose'

A recent report following an inquiry into the state of government funding for hospices has found that despite the introduction of a legal requirement for Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to commission palliative and end of life care, ICB commissioning of hospice services is currently not fit for purpose.

Wild water swimmers raising money for Bolton Hospice

Tough Mudder fundraising success

Last month, a number of hardy fundraisers took to the infamous Tough Mudder course to raise much-needed funds for Bolton Hospice. Sara Ariff, HR Manager at the hospice, as well as a team of 22 friends, colleagues and family members, brought together by Chris Masingiri, took on the notoriously challenging obstacle course.
